"Gym Class Heroes Is, Was, And Always Will Be The Priority. Anybody Who Has Followed Gym Class Heroes Knows That I've Had Seven Or Eight Projects On The Side Of Gym Class Heroes Since The Beginning. I Always Have To Be Creative Or I Get Depressed And Sad. So This Is Just Another Project. I Just Happened To Be Joining Up With Pain And Nappy Boy To Get It Out There To People."
Prior To His Mixtape Release, Travis Teamed Up With MTV And Dropped A Charity Single Called "One At A Time" Which Benefited Global HIV/AIDS Prevention Projects. He Traveled To South Africa, Philippines And India As A Spokesperson For MTV's Staying Alive Foundation.
Lazarus Has Been In The Works For Over A Year Now And McCoy Says This Is The Longest He’s Ever Spent On A Record. In April, He Went On Tour (Too Fast For Love) With Fellow Gym Class Drummer Matt McGinley, Cobra Starship And 3OH!3, To Support His New Venture. As For The Heroes, McCoy Says They Are “12 Demos Deep” Into Their Next Album, Which They Hope To Have Out In 2011.
